Day 45 Digital for Youth

The schools in Belgium are closed and many schools are moving to online classes, but not all children start out digitally equal. Digital for Youth, a non for profit from Belgium, is providing kids from vulnerable families with a laptop so they can follow online classes from home.

Digital for Youth reached their goal to collect 10.000 used laptops in one month.

DNS Belgium and Close the Gap founded Digital for Youth in 2019. Their aim is to provide vulnerable families with the necessary IT infrastructure. The coronavirus accelerates the adaptation of technology in schools and the kids will benefit from this initiative for the long term.
