Day 74 First Of The Month


#FirstOfTheMonth is a campaign in Silicon Valley to relief poor families who have lost their jobs and income and are now at risk to lose their homes. It is a collaboration between the local nonprofits Live In Peace, Kafenia Peace Collective and Dreamers Roadmap. You can find information on https://www.liveinpeace.org/

The 3 organizations joined forces and are collecting and distributing cash to people in need. Thanks to the support from hundreds of donors, they surpassed their fundraising goals in just ten days. To date they have raised $1,690,304 and were able to serve 187 families. Jack Dorsey, co-founder and CEO of Twitter, donated 530.000 USD to the campaign.

It shows the Silicon Valley mindset: never stop dreaming big!
